Claudio Epelman

Claudio Epelman is the Executive Director of the Latin American Jewish Congress, regional branch of the World Jewish Congress.   As Executive Director, Epelman represents Jewish communities in the region in various meetings with Heads of State and international organizations such as the UN, OAS, OSCE, SEGIB and the World Economic Forum, among others. On the interreligious terrain Epelman promotes and actively participates in dialogue with Catholics and Muslims, articulates the relations of the Jewish communities with the Holy See, building bridges between the different communities of faith. His work in interreligious dialogue was recognized by the Argentine government. Understanding the importance that the Internet and social networks have in our days, Epelman promoted the creation of tools that monitor and denounce anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination, which can be found on the Web. Epelman is also responsible for actively promoting the incorporation and participation of young people in the political actions of Jewish communities, forming them to be the leadership of the future.  Epelman also holds the following positions: - Representative of the World Jewish Congress to the Holy See. - Member of the Advisory Board of the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International    Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Vienna. - Member of the International Advisory Committee of the Doha International Center for Interreligious Dialogue, Qatar. - Vice Moderator of the Latin American Council of Religious Leaders of the World Conference of Religions for Peace. - Co President of the Global Forum against Antisemitism - Latin America. - Member of the advisory committee of the Secretariat of Programming for the Prevention of Drug Addiction and Fight against Drug Trafficking in Argentina (SEDRONAR).
