Millie Magid

Millie Magid, a principal real estate broker at Magid Realty in Long Island NY, was born in Lima, Peru. She is a philanthropist and passionate activist for humanitarian, educational and cultural causes. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Smithsonian Latino Center in Washington DC. She sits on the board of directors on such organizations as: “JBS” TV, (former Shalom TV) the Jewish Broadcasting Service, and on at the Global Jewish Community Center, an umbrella organization for Jewish Community Centers around the world connecting and promoting Jewish peoplehood through an exchange of specialized programs. Millie is on the National Leadership Consul at the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations and she serves on the board of directors of America’s Voices in Israel, the organization that promotes understanding of Israel and the Middle East through VIP visits to experience the region. Millie is the founder of the 1st “Center for Israel” at the Sid Jacobson JCC, North Shore, NY, a cultural and educational exchange program promoting Israel understanding and opportunities. Millie Magid is a former young “New leadership Chairperson” for “Israel Bonds” of Long Island, NY and served as a Women’s Division President at the Sid Jacobson JCC in East Hills, NY. Millie is married to Larry Magid a NY real estate investor and developer. Together, they have chaired numerous non-profit events, and have been honored by many organizations including: The “United Jewish Appeal Federation of NY”; Israel Bonds; Chamah (the NGO that helps Elderly and needy in Russia, Israel & US); the Sid Jacobson JCC of East Hills; Shalva, the leading center for special needs children in Israel; and most recently by Kehilla Moreshet Ysrael in Jerusalem. Together they support hospitals and organizations including, “Innovation Africa”, an Israeli NGO that provides renewable energy technology and humanitarian services in seven countries in Africa; the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and The Bible Land Museum in Israel.
