Amelia Welt Katzen

Amelia Katzen is a founder and the Chief Operating Officer of Jewish News Service, Inc. (JNS.org), a news service providing news and analysis about Israel and the Middle East to Jewish, Christian and secular media outlets. She is a founding board member and serves on the Executive Committee of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), as well as the Board of Directors of the Boston Lyric Opera. She has served on the board of the Solomon Schechter Day School, the Civil Rights Committee of the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, and several committees of Combined Jewish Philanthropies.   Amelia was previously Senior Enforcement Counsel for Region 1 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and a commercial real estate attorney.  She attended Cornell University (A.B.), University of Chicago (M.A., M.A.T.) and Harvard and University of Pennsylvania Law Schools (J.D.).
